Manager - Professional Development and Networks

This strategic leadership role of Manager - Professional Development and Networks offered as a full time 2-year contract, is primarily focussed on growing our professional development offerings to energise the sector by investing in the capability, connection and confidence of those who serve our communities, and the strategic oversight of our special interest networks, ensuring the cross pollination of network and professional development activity.

Reporting to the CEO, this is a busy role requiring a proactive approach, outstanding attention to detail, ownership, research and exemplary engagement with internal and external stakeholders across local government and beyond.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Proactive management of current and future networks of Members
• Ensuring strategic coordination of themes and trends across Networks
• Identifying and pursuing opportunities for growth and new partnerships to expand impact and reach
• Ensuring the ongoing successful delivery and enhancement of core programs, including the Ignite Program, Emerging Leaders Program, Strategic Management Program and Executive Leaders Program while also identifying new opportunities.
• Undertaking research and analysis to ensure best practice approach to delivery of professional development
• Developing relevant training programs and short courses
