![]() Rhiannon CLARKEChief Executive Officer Rhiannon is the CEO of LG Professionals SA and has been with the Organisation for more than 9 years. She is extremely passionate about developing people, local government and the sector. A people person, she thrives on connecting with, and supporting, our members. Her high-energy attitude and positivity are infectious, and she channels all of it into her work. With a background in events and marketing she is well positioned to support the team and Board to deliver on the mission of developing local government people. It’s fair to say Rhiannon loves her job—to her, the sector feels like a family, and she loves how dedicated our members are to their communities and each other. She loves hearing about all the amazing work being accomplished in the sector and is ready to help you promote them through our Awards Program. Rivalling her professional responsibilities are Rhiannon’s skills in the old arts—fascinated by everything crafty, she always has a project on the go, and is currently exploring a Latch Hook project. Her spare time is dedicated to doggy snuggles, op shopping and live music.
Manager - Training and Development Liz joined LG Professionals SA in 2022 after nine years in the LGA Training team. She loves people and is passionate about developing holistic learning experiences that are considered and offer goal-orientated learning pathways to positively impact both personal and professional development. Making a positive difference is at the heart of all Liz does. She is Mindfulness has always been very much part of her everyday and being present underpins her unique approach to life. With decades of personal practice and experience, Liz runs complimentary ‘Mindfulness - Part of your everyday’ sessions each Tuesday at noon that are open to the whole sector. If you are keen to explore a more mindful approach to your life, join Liz for a 20-minute session sometime and experience the life changing benefits mindfulness can offer. If you are looking to explore your Elected Member and staff legal and regulatory training needs, connect with Liz. Outside of work, Liz enjoys propagating plants and taking pride in her expansive garden. You'll often find her reading or listening to a podcast whilst preparing whole food plant-based meals at her gorgeous 1950’s hills home. JADE FALCO Training and Development Officer Jade joined the LG Professionals SA team as Training and Development Officer in March 2024, bringing over 12 years of experience in local government to the role. She has enjoyed attending many LG Professionals SA and LGA programs over the years so when a role became available at LG Professionals SA, she jumped at the opportunity. Jade works closely with Liz to deliver the LGA Training program, including Elected Member and staff legal and regulatory training. Bringing strong administration and organisation skills, coupled with a passion for customer service and continuous improvement, Jade is loving getting to know the comprehensive training program of Outside of work, Jade loves spending time with her partner, friends, family and her labrador puppy, Sully. She loves going to the beach, travelling, music, binge watching tv shows, admiring cute doggos and all things colourful and sparkly! LAUREN MOORE Graphics and Marketing Officer Lauren has been with LG Professionals SA for more than 6 years, with her industry experience extending far beyond that. Prior to joining the team, she managed a design studio in the Philippines, worked for not-for-profit organisations and in sports clothing design and production. Her favourite part about working in the local government sector is the friendly nature of the community and councils working together collaboratively to achieve common goals. Lauren is also a goal setter and loves getting involved in professional development opportunities, many of which are made available through connections in local government. Lauren is the creative behind all our design collateral and enjoys the variety and challenges of delivering new and innovative ideas. In her spare time, Lauren loves spending time with her husband, two boys, and their dog Wellington. She keeps busy running her small business creating acrylic earrings and is always keen to get outdoors to cycle and of course take part in her favourite hobby, squidding, when she can find time!
Finance and Administration Officer With over 20 years of experience in bookkeeping and finance, Sandra brings expertise, precision, and dedication to her role at LG Professionals SA, where she has thrived for the past eight years. Sandra’s career journey began as an Executive Assistant and Finance Officer, a role that honed her attention to detail, commitment to accuracy and organisational skills before becoming a full-time, stay-at-home mum to her two children for a period. Re-entering the workforce, Sandra joined the team at LG Professionals SA and loves the collaborative and community-focused environment of Local Government. She finds inspiration in the passionate people she works alongside and takes pride in fostering meaningful connections with her colleagues that contribute to a positive workplace culture. Beyond her professional life, Sandra treasures time with her husband, children and dog Matilda and is often found caravanning with family and friends. A creative spirit, Sandra enjoys making mosaic art, upcycling materials to reduce waste and support sustainability, gardening, and baking and decorating sweet treats. | ![]() MEGAN DOWN Manager - Events & Partnerships Megan joined LG Professionals SA in 2022, bringing to the team more than 15 years’ experience managing a wide range of events – from 20-person professional development seminars to charity mud runs with over 3,000 participants and everything in between. Megan has a strong background in event management, stakeholder relations and business development and has worked with association, government and corporate clients, as well as in the not-for-profit and higher education sectors. Megan is a strategic thinker who gets a buzz from putting all the puzzle pieces into place to create the perfect event. She loves seeing how events bring people together to connect, share, develop and learn. Megan leads the delivery of all LG Professionals SA major events and manages the valuable relationships with our Corporate Partners who support the local government sector. In her downtime you will find Megan enjoying coffee or wine with friends, spending time in nature with her husband and two young sons, reading whatever book her book club has coming up this month or cooking up a storm in her kitchen.
Events Coordinator Event Coordinator, Megan, joined LG Professionals SA in January 2023 and works closely with (other) Megan, to deliver all LG Professionals SA events. Having worked in the events industry for more than nine years, Megan brings a solid background, enthusiasm and creativity to the team. Passionate about planning and coordinating memorable events, she takes pride in ensuring that every detail falls into place to deliver a seamless attendee experience. She believes organisation, creative problem solving and attention to detail are important for every event. Taking pride in customer service, she is here to help you with any event related queries and looks forward to meeting you at one of our many events throughout the year. Her love of food, wine and the outdoors sum up how she spends her weekends with friends and family. She is currently looking at purchasing her second property with her partner and two fur babies. Elyse HearneManager - Marketing and Communications With a wealth of knowledge and experience in not-for-profit marketing, Elyse is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and delivering all of our marketing and communications to you - she's a huge support to the team, and we're so thankful for her passion and commitment to showcasing all that LG Professionals SA has to offer. Having worked for eight years in a membership organisation prior to joining the LG Professionals SA team, Elyse not only brings experience in membership but also training, professional development, event management and stakeholder engagement. She loves to travel and has been to America eight times. She is hoping to continue travelling the globe, and perhaps exploring somewhere new on her next trip. Elyse is a movie/tv buff, and it doesn't take much convincing to get her to the cinema or to binge the latest series on Netflix. If not travelling or checking out the latest films, you'll find her spending time with family, friends and her cat, Cleo. EMMA DIGNONMarketing and Communications Officer Emma joined LG Professionals SA in September 2024 as our Marketing and Communications Officer, bringing with her a wealth of experience in marketing, communications, public relations, and media across a diverse range of sectors, including agency, local government, education, state government, and Fortune 500 companies. Emma thrives in the creative space, where she handles content creation for social and direct marketing, copywriting and editing, brand support, and photography and videography production. She also plays a key role in coordinating our membership function, building strong relationships within the local government sector, and supporting our team in delivering high-value services. A passionate advocate for professional development, Emma enjoys creating opportunities for youth, mentoring university students in writing, having served as an industry mentor for the University of Adelaide’s Fashion Collective; as well as previously sitting on the State Council for the Public Relations Institute of South Australia. One of her fondest achievements was being a part of the LG Professionals Australasian Management Challenge winning team in 2023, where she saw first-hand the importance of the professional development opportunities that our team offers to the sector. Outside of work, Emma is a proud Adelaide local. You’ll often find her supporting the city's vibrant arts scene, enjoying local food and events, or exploring new opportunities to support local businesses and creatives. As a longtime independent writer with a passion for fashion, Emma is equally committed to championing the LGBTQIA+ community, nurturing early career professionals, and advancing arts and culture within South Australia. |
