We are pleased to launch the Workforce and Gender Equality in South Australian Local Government Project Report. A strategic initiative of the Board of Local Government Professionals Australia, SA the project was supported by the Local Government Research and Development Scheme administered by the LGA South Australia.

A significant initiative, the key focus of the project is to assess and address systemic drivers of gender inequality in the SA local government sector. There is considerable momentum at this time, with Federal and State governments progressing their Gender Equality strategic plans. This project provides an opportunity to demonstrate leadership in local government in South Australia.

Acknowledging the report is comprehensive, if you are short on time we draw your attention to 5.0 Executive Summary (Page 8), 5.1 Key Findings (Page 9) and recommendations 12.0 Recommendations (from page 45).
