What does 2022 look like for you? Join us as we welcome Amy Slattery, Kate Grigg and Renee Pitcher as guest speakers for our Women's Network Forum '2022 - Your Year'.

This Forum will be held in person and via Zoom on Thursday 17 March 2022 from 9:30AM - 12:00PM.

Amy Slattery - 'Goal Setting for 2022'

Setting goals will help you achieve the things that are most important to you, yet less than 3% of people have clearly defined their goals.

Join Amy who will explore why goal setting is so important, how you can create better habits, and become super clear and focussed on what you need to do to achieve those goals.

Attendees will have the opportunity to cover:

  • common roadblocks to goal achievement and how to recognise and avoid them
  • how to set meaningful and effective goals using the SMART-A model
  • valuable tips for taking the next steps and making goals stick
  • what support and resources are available

Kate Grigg - 'My Story'

With a fascination for nature from a young age, Kate discovered her passion early on in her local government career and has been working in the conservation and land management space for the last 20 years. Kate, also known as The Wild Food Huntress, enjoys foraging mushrooms and wild foods and often holds large wild food workshops here in South Australia and interstate. She is pleased to see her three-year-old daughter showing the same passion.

Kate, currently Team Member Open Space Sport and Recreation at City of Unley will share with us her career journey so far, how being diagnosed with Autism within the last five years has provided answers to many questions she’s had around her interpersonal skills, and how her supportive work environment, especially her direct Manager, has allowed her to continue to thrive in her role.

Renee Pitcher - 'My Story'

Renee Pitcher is the Unit Manager for Open Spaces and Recreation Planning for the City of Marion.

In this session, Renee will share her career journey in local government, from her time spent working “on ground” on the tools, to becoming a leader in Open Space and Recreation where she shapes the look and feel of a City.

Working for the City of Marion for nearly 17 years, Renee has undertaken various roles which gained her experience in Horticulture, Civil, Open Space Maintenance, Community Engagement, Project Management, Construction and people Leadership.

Renee has a passion for managing projects and leading people who deliver great spaces for healthy communities. Her strong project management skills and ability to bring people together is instrumental to the number of successful projects that have been achieved.

Renee will share what she has learnt including how to run with opportunities, challenges along the way and how to be strong physically and mentally in all aspects of your life.
