Welcome to this month’s edition of Leaders
Connect.
July brings with it the start of a new
financial year and, for many of us, new plans and goals. LG Professionals SA
are here to support your progress towards these goals and have been working
hard to coordinate a range of professional development opportunities – watch
this space.
We have welcomed many new team members over the
past few months, and I look forward to introducing the team to you in future
editions of Leaders Connect. Please make sure you come and say hello when you
see us out and about as we would love to chat.
The theme of this newsletter is networking. Whilst for some networking comes easily, for others it can be nerve wracking -
thrusting you out of comfort zones and avoided at all costs. Recognising this,
my team volunteers to be a safe to fail networking point for you – so please
feel free to practice on them to support you in building your confidence. We
are so lucky to have such a vast range of expertise in South Australian local
government, and connections and sharing are so important. We are here to
support you in fostering long standing relationships with your peers in the
sector.
Hopefully see you soon! Keep warm and well!
Rhiannon
