Happy last day of
February – it feels like we are flying through 2022!
It’s been another busy
month here at LG Professionals SA – our Ignite, Strategic Management and Executive
Leaders Programs have all commenced, and we have launched the program for our
Annual State Conference – carefully curated for professionals of all
levels. Please see full details below.
We have commenced the
shortlisting process for our Leadership Excellence Awards and wow, it warms my
heart to read about the amazing achievements of our sector. Thank you to each
and every one of you who took the time to nominate and showcase the innovation
and excellence demonstrated within your organisations. Taking the time to
recognise our achievements is so important, as not only does it offer an
important opportunity for reflection, but also assists other councils and
subsidiaries through the sharing of learnings. I encourage you to take every
opportunity to showcase these achievements - please see below for another
opportunity coming up in April.
Please enjoy this month's edition of Leader's Connect and
consider registering for an event or program – in these busy and uncertain
times it is important to still make time for you.
Keep safe
and well.
Best wishes,
Rhiannon

Valuing Social Outcomes Tool Workshop Friday 25 March 2022 LG House, 148 Frome Street, Adelaide
In November 2021, the LG Professionals
SA Community Managers Network launched the Valuing Social Outcomes (VSO)
project. The project involved the development of a tool to assist local
government community development / community services practitioners in assessing
the impact of the programs they deliver via social value measurement and the
expression of this impact in dollar terms.
The LG Professionals SA Community
Managers Network are pleased to invite you to a complimentary interactive
workshop, designed to support local government community development and
community services practitioners to become confident with use of the
Tool.
In this session Mike Brown, VSO Project
Leader, and Carla Leversedge, Community Managers Network Chair, will explore
the important questions of:
- What is the VSO Tool and
what can it help me do?
- How can I decide if the
Tool is right for my program?
- What do I need to
consider before using the Tool?
- How do I use the
Tool?
Attendees will take part in a live demonstration of
the Tool via use of your own laptop at the session. Please access the VSO Tool
and download to your laptop prior to the session.
