A word from the Acting CEO 

Happy end of April!

This month, we have been thinking about comfort zones. Our own, and those of others. How uncomfortable it can be to step out of them, but how wonderful the rewards can be.

On Thursday we will welcome 14 teams to Morphettville Racecourse for this year’s Management Challenge – I’m sure most participants will be feeling nervous, excited and wondering what the day has in store. We here at LG Professionals SA know what the day has in store, and comfort zones will be stepped out of, but all in the spirit of fun, learning and growth. Best of luck to all teams, I know you will have a fantastic day.

As May fast approaches, we have plenty to look forward to:

  • Our People and Culture Network Conference – ‘The People Experience’ on 14 May
  • Celebrating 20 years of our Leadership Excellence Awards with over 520 of you at our Gala Dinner on 21 May
  • The opening retreat of the 16th year of our Emerging Leaders Program on 27 May

The People and Culture Network Conference: The People Experience will be held on Friday 14 May 2021. The program will help you to better understand the narrative of your organisation and have you thinking differently about some of the complex problems that People and Culture practitioners face on a daily basis. 

This conference is open to all People and Culture professionals in the local government sector, but we strongly encourage anyone who works closely with People and Culture to attend - it will be a fantastic networking opportunity.

Canberra Behind-the-Scenes is back and you’re invited to meet with Ministers and Federal Department chiefs to draw insights on programs that can support your communities and the important post-Budget policy pivots at Parliament House from 25-26 May 2021.
