Rhiannon CLARKE

Rhiannon is the CEO of LG Professionals SA and has been with the Organisation for more than 8 years. She is extremely passionate about developing people, local government and the sector. A people person, she thrives on connecting with, and supporting, our members.

Her high-energy attitude and positivity are infectious, and she channels all of it into her work. With a background in events and marketing she is well positioned to support the team and Board to deliver on the mission of developing local government people.

It’s fair to say Rhiannon loves her job—to her, the sector feels like a family, and she loves how dedicated our members are to their communities and each other. She loves hearing about all the amazing work being accomplished in the sector and is ready to help you promote them through our Awards Program.

Rivalling her professional responsibilities are Rhiannon’s skills in the old arts—fascinated by everything crafty, she always has a project on the go, and is currently exploring a new Latch Hook project. Her spare time is dedicated to doggy snuggles, picking up litter as part of a volunteer role at neighbouring parks and op shopping.



LIZ O'FLYNN

Liz joined LG Professionals SA in 2022 after nine years in the LGA Training team. She loves people and is passionate about developing holistic learning experiences that are considered and offer goal-orientated learning pathways to positively impact both personal and professional development.

Making a positive difference is at the heart of all Liz does. She is LG Professionals SA’s resident mindfulness practitioner, and with an international qualification in coaching, specialises in mindfulness coaching.

Mindfulness has always been very much part of her everyday and being present underpins her unique approach to life. With decades of personal practice and experience, Liz runs complimentary ‘Mindfulness - Part of your everyday’ sessions each Tuesday at noon that are open to the whole sector. If you are keen to explore a more mindful approach to your life, join Liz for a 20-minute session sometime and experience the life changing benefits mindfulness can offer.  

If you are looking to explore your Elected Member and staff legal and regulatory training needs, connect with Liz.

Outside of work, Liz enjoys propagating plants and taking pride in her expansive garden. You'll often find her reading or listening to a podcast whilst preparing whole food plant-based meals at her gorgeous 1950’s hills home. 



JADE FALCO

Jade joined the LG Professionals SA team as Training and Development Officer in March 2024,  bringing over 12 years of experience in local government to the role. She has enjoyed attending many LG Professionals SA and LGA programs over the years so when a role became available at LG Professionals SA, she jumped at the opportunity. Jade works closely with Liz to deliver the LGA Training program, including Elected Member and staff legal and regulatory training.

Bringing strong administration and organisation skills, coupled with a passion for customer service and continuous improvement, Jade is looking forward to getting to know the comprehensive training program of LG Professionals SA and LGA Training inside and out, and making connections with all of our wonderful program and training participants. Passionate about high level customer service, she looks forward to reviewing and tweaking systems and processes to ensure a seamless and positive customer experience.

Outside of work, Jade loves spending time with her partner, friends, family and her labrador puppy, Sully. She loves going to the beach, travelling, music, binge watching tv shows, admiring cute doggos and all things colourful and sparkly!



HAYLIE MAYNARD

Eager and excited to step into working with the local government sector, Haylie joined the LG Professionals SA team in January 2023, with a Bachelor of Marketing and Communications and Bachelor of Business (Tourism and Event Management) she brings with her professional association and membership experience. Passionate about continual learning and development, she looks forward to absorbing every piece of knowledge possible from the team and assisting members.

After growing up in the country, Haylie moved to Adelaide to finish high school and make a start on her career. Though she grew up hundreds of kilometres from any body of water, Haylie loves to visit any type of water when she can, whether the pool, river, or beach. On the weekends, you will often find her encouraging (forcefully) her family and friends to come on outdoor adventures with her and her dog Harley. 



EVE JACKSON

Excited to be stepping into a new industry, Eve joined the LG Professionals SA team as Training Support Officer in April 2023. With a Diploma of Logistics and additional accreditation towards Chain of Responsibility, Eve brings transferable skills in stakeholder relations, complex coordination, and administration.

A go-getter, Eve is driven by opportunities to learn and grow – which is perfect as she’ll be working closely with Rhiannon and the team to support the delivery of the Associations annual professional development calendar of flagship leadership programs, short courses and in house training.

Taking pride in customer service with a love for people, Eve is looking forward to meeting, supporting and engaging with LG Professionals SA members and learning more about the local government sector.

Eve strives to cultivate a growth mindset and is passionate about health and self-care. She recognises that paying close attention to both are paramount for setting a pathway to success in her everyday – in both work and achieving her personal goals. In her spare time she enjoys working out, visiting Adelaide’s best food spots, listening to podcasts and finding new Cocker Spaniel Instagram profiles. 


SANDRA DENHOLM

For 20 years, Sandra has worked in bookkeeping and finance roles, with the first 10 of those spent at The Salvation Army before becoming a stay-at-home mum to dote on her two beautiful children.

Sandra has been with LG Professionals SA for 8 years now and her favourite part of her job is the people she works with and the sense of community within the sector.

She loves sharing her life with her husband and children, but when she does find time to herself, Sandra loves to create beautiful mosaic art and practice the art of upcycling to reuse materials and reduce her carbon footprint. She’s also got some serious talents in the kitchen and makes a mean Malteser fudge!


MEGAN DOWN

Megan joined LG Professionals SA in 2022, bringing to the team more than 15 years’ experience managing a wide range of events – from 20-person professional development seminars to charity mud runs with over 3,000 participants and everything in between. Megan has a strong background in event management, stakeholder relations and business development and has worked with association, government and corporate clients, as well as in the not-for-profit and higher education sectors.

Megan is a strategic thinker who gets a buzz from putting all the puzzle pieces into place to create the perfect event. She loves seeing how events bring people together to connect, share, develop and learn. Megan leads the delivery of all LG Professionals SA major events and manages the valuable relationships with our Corporate Partners who support the local government sector.

In her downtime you will find Megan enjoying coffee or wine with friends, spending time in nature with her husband and two young sons, reading whatever book her book club has coming up this month or cooking up a storm in her kitchen.

Event Coordinator, Megan, joined LG Professionals SA in January 2023 and works closely with (other) Megan, to deliver all LG Professionals SA events. Having worked in the events industry for more than eight years, Megan brings a solid background, enthusiasm and creativity to the team.

Passionate about planning and coordinating memorable events, she takes pride in ensuring that every detail falls into place to deliver a seamless attendee experience. She believes organisation, creative problem solving and attention to detail are important for every event.

Taking pride in customer service, she is here to help you with any event related queries and looks forward to meeting you at one of our many events throughout the year.

Her love of food, wine and the outdoors sum up how she spends her weekends with friends and family. She is currently looking at purchasing her second property with her partner and two fur babies.



MELISSA DAVIS-BISHOP

The newest member of our team, Melissa joined LG Professionals SA in April 2024 to manage our Professional Networks Engagement. With more than 15 years’ experience supporting non-profit members and volunteers, as well as an extensive background in event and program management, she is excited to work with our Network committees and working groups to continue to deliver value to our membership through strategic engagement initiatives.

With a strong commitment to building and nurturing relationships, Melissa’s authentic and adaptable leadership style is a natural fit with the LG Professionals SA team. Currently undertaking a Master of Business Administration, she brings a contemporary understanding to a range of sector and organisational priorities. Her ability to manage multiple projects, together with an almost obsessive level of attention to detail, will be an asset in this diverse yet integral role.

Growing up with sand in her toes, Melissa loves the beach, and you’ll often find her donning the red and yellow cap or volunteering with the Nippers at her local surf club. Having spent most of 2023 completing a half lap of Oz with her family, she’s also keen to get away in the caravan any chance she gets to continue exploring our amazing country.



Elyse Hearne

With a wealth of knowledge and experience in not-for-profit marketing, Elyse is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and delivering all of our marketing and communications to you - she's a huge support to the team, and we're so thankful for her passion and commitment to showcasing all that LG Professionals SA has to offer.

Having worked for eight years in a membership organisation prior to joining the LG Professionals SA team, Elyse not only brings experience in membership but also training, professional development, event management and stakeholder engagement.

She loves to travel and has been to America eight times. She is hoping to continue travelling the globe, and perhaps exploring somewhere new on her next trip. Elyse is a movie/tv buff, and it doesn't take much convincing to get her to the cinema or to binge the latest series on Netflix. If not travelling or checking out the latest films, you'll find her spending time with family, friends and her cat, Cleo. 



LAUREN MOORE

Lauren has been with LG Professionals SA for more than 6 years, with her industry experience extending far beyond that. Prior to joining the team, she managed a design studio in the Philippines, worked for not-for-profit organisations and in sports clothing design and production.

Her favourite part about working in the local government sector is the friendly nature of the community and councils working together collaboratively to achieve common goals. Lauren is also a goal setter and loves getting involved in professional development opportunities, many of which are made available through connections in local government.

Lauren is the creative behind all our design collateral and enjoys the variety and challenges of delivering new and innovative ideas.

In her spare time, Lauren loves spending time with her husband, two boys, and their dog Wellington. She keeps busy running her small business creating acrylic earrings and is always keen to get outdoors to cycle and of course take part in her favourite hobby, squidding, when she can find time!


LEEANNE McEWAN

Leeanne has an extensive career in local government.  No stranger to LG Professionals SA from a membership perspective, Leeanne excitedly joined the LG Professionals SA team in December 2023.

Leeanne is the project lead for the Workforce and Gender Equality in SA Local Government Project, which has been funded by the LGA Research and Development fund. With considerable work being done in federal and state governments, Leeanne is passionate about finding opportunities for local government in South Australia to understand and improve workplace gender equality.
